Who we serve
Four kinds of client. One standard of evidence.
We work for the side that carries the risk, and for the firms that advise it. Pick one or more. Everything below follows the market selected at the top of the page: India (stage: scoping).
Equity in private companies.Funds and family offices
A term sheet is out and the founder's monthly management report (MIS) shows growth. The team wants the numbers checked against GST returns, bank data and MCA filings before the cheque.

What we will not do
We do not advise on whether to invest, price a deal, or act as a SEBI-registered adviser. That sits with the group's separate adviser for India residents, or with your own team.
Who buys here
AIFs, venture and growth funds, family offices, angel networks, banks, NBFCs and private credit funds, founders and CFOs preparing to raise, and CA, audit and law firms.
The fee
Prices are set in INR and quoted before GST at 18%. Pricing by deal size
IndependenceWho we do not act for
Both sides of one deal
Not without written consent from both.
Companies we helped raise
Not unless we disclose it in writing and the client accepts.
Retail investors
Our clients are professional, wholesale or institutional. In India: funds, lenders, founders, accounting and law firms.
Anyone who wants a particular number
The fee is fixed before work starts and does not move with the result. The party that signs the engagement letter pays, and a report a company orders on itself says so on its cover.

How we verify sales hereHow we check sales and cash in India without relying on the company's word
India has a GST return feed, e-invoice registration, a consent-based bank data network and public payroll and customs signals, so sales can be tested from several independent sides. Each consent-based layer needs the company to say yes. Coverage varies by company: a business under the e-invoice threshold has no e-invoice layer, and a company that will not consent leaves a stated gap.
Declared sales against tax paid
Sales declared in GSTR-1, the monthly sales return, against the tax paid in GSTR-3B, the monthly payment return. Month by month, with the gap and any amendments shown.
Why it is independent. Both are lodged with the government. We pull them through a licensed GST Suvidha Provider on the company's consent, or the company downloads them from its own login. Neither is the management accounts.
Suppliers' filings and counterparty invoices
Purchases and input tax credit (GST paid on purchases, which can be set off against GST owed), as suppliers reported them in GSTR-2B, against what the books claim. Plus a sample of large customers' and suppliers' declared invoices against the ledger.
Why it is independent. GSTR-2B is built from what other businesses filed about this one. It is the counterparty's word, not the company's.
E-invoice data
Invoice reference numbers on the Invoice Registration Portal, matched to sales in the ledger. This covers companies above the e-invoice threshold, currently turnover above ₹5 crore, with 30-day reporting for larger taxpayers.
Why it is independent. An invoice without a government reference number is not a valid business-to-business invoice. The register is held by the tax system, not the company.
Bank transactions
Twelve to twenty-four months of account data compared with declared sales, receivables ageing and the customers who actually pay.
Why it is independent. Pulled straight from the bank through a regulated Account Aggregator, a licensed service that passes data on only with the company's consent, so it cannot be edited on the way.
Income tax records and filed accounts
Filed ITR, Form 26AS and AIS for the company and, where relevant, promoters, and the audited AOC-4 accounts on MCA21, against GST turnover and the other layers.
Why it is independent. Tax credits and third-party reported income come from the tax authority, and accounts were lodged with the registrar and signed by a statutory auditor. Tax files need the taxpayer's own login and consent, and we do not hold credentials.
Provident fund headcount and contributions
Employees on the provident fund rolls and contribution regularity against the headcount and payroll in the plan or the accounts.
Why it is independent. Contributions are paid to a statutory body. A thin or irregular record contradicts a claimed team size.
Counterparty status and customs flows
Whether named customers and suppliers exist, are GST-active and file returns, and, for importers and exporters, shipments against declared trade volumes.
Why it is independent. Public GST search and customs records are held by the government. Customs coverage by product and party is being confirmed with local counsel.
Data routesHow data reaches us in India.
The 2 to 5 day clock starts when payment clears if the route is automatic, and when the company consents or uploads papers if not.
| Data | How it arrives here | Automatic | Clock starts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Company, director, charge and filing records | Read from MCA21 public records. | Automatic | Payment clears |
| GST registration status and return-filing history | Read from the public GST taxpayer search. | Automatic | Payment clears |
| GST returns and e-invoices | A licensed GST Suvidha Provider connection, on the company's consent, or the company's own downloads. | Automatic | Company consents |
| Bank transactions | A regulated Account Aggregator. Only a regulated financial institution can receive the data, so it reaches us through the client's own regulated institution or a regulated partner. Otherwise the company uploads statements. The company approves each request in its Account Aggregator app. To be confirmed with local counsel. | Company acts | Company consents |
| Income tax return (ITR), tax credit statement (Form 26AS) and annual information statement (AIS) | The company or promoter downloads the files from the income tax portal and uploads them. | Company acts | Company uploads |
| Payroll and provident fund | EPFO records on consent where available, otherwise the company's monthly provident fund returns (ECR) and payment challans (proof of payment). | Company acts | Company uploads |
| Court, tribunal and insolvency cases | Name searches across eCourts, NCLT and IBBI records. | Automatic | Payment clears |
| Security interests | CERSAI search plus MCA21 charge records. | Automatic | Payment clears |
| Management accounts and the model | Uploaded by the company to the workspace. | Company acts | Company uploads |
In IndiaRules, data and speed in India.
A summary for the selected market, not legal advice, being confirmed with local counsel before launch.
- Company law and registry
- Companies Act, 2013 and the LLP Act, 2008. The registry is MCA21 (version 3), run by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Master data and public documents can be viewed on the portal; downloading filed documents needs a login and a per-company fee.
- Data protection
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The DPDP Rules were notified in November 2025 and commence in phases. The Data Protection Board comes first. Consent-manager provisions follow after about 12 months. The main duties on data fiduciaries, the organisations that decide how personal data is used, follow after about 18 months, around May 2027. Company records are not personal data. Director, promoter and employee details are.
- Financial data
- Bank data through a Reserve Bank of India regulated Account Aggregator, on the company's consent. Only regulated financial institutions can receive Account Aggregator data, so Kubr reads it through a regulated partner or the client's own regulated institution, and the company uploads statements where neither applies. GST return data through a licensed GST Suvidha Provider or a download from the company's own login. Both need the company's consent.
- Securities regulator
- SEBI. Investment advice and research analysis are regulated activities under the Investment Advisers and Research Analysts Regulations. Kubr is neither. Alternative investment funds (AIFs) registered in India are also regulated by SEBI.
- Money and tax
- Prices in INR, before GST at 18% on services. Bank transfer for packs above one lakh. UPI or cards for smaller invoices.
- Speed
- Registry and public GST data in minutes. Bank and tax data in minutes once the company consents. Standard packs inside 2 to 5 days.
- Reliability
- The deepest record set of any market we serve. Government portals do go down. Each outage pauses the clock, and the pause is logged and shown to you.
- What we offer here
- All eleven services.
Where data livesSourced and handled in India.
A design commitment made before launch, to be repeated in the engagement terms.
Kubr's design commitment for India, pre-launch, is that data is sourced from providers licensed in India and handled inside India. Nothing about an Indian company or its people is meant to leave the country for processing.
- Sourced from
- Government registers and portals, RBI-authorised Account Aggregators, licensed GST Suvidha Providers and registered rating agencies, all operating in India.
- Handled
- Storage and analysis are designed to sit on infrastructure in India, under the DPDP Act, 2023 and its Rules as they phase in. RBI rules require payment-system data to be stored in India, and we treat Account Aggregator data the same way as a matter of design. Cross-border transfers: none, by design. Exact legal duties to be confirmed with local counsel.
Kubr does not give investment advice, and reports are for the named client only. Which work needs a licence, and who holds it. Where data lives.
